came back with 2 goals in the second. Milwaukee Kickers immediately responded
making the score 2-2. Madison United ended scoring the last point in the last 5
minutes winning the game 3-2.

In Mens Open Final, Bavarians
(WI) and Nebraska 402 (NE) kept the game close as the score remained 2-2 in the
90th minute. Both teams played on Saturday under a sunny sky with temperatures
in the high 90s. The match went into overtime to only give two more goals for
Bavarians making them the 2009 USASA Region II Open Cup Champions. Bavarians
lost their chance to advance in last years qualifying when they were
eliminated in quarterfinals by AAC Eagles (IL).
Their next game will be
in Orlando, Florida, on July 24-26 |

  Milwaukee Kickers U20 have won.
They will now participate in the U20 National Tournament. The USASA and the
USASA Region I National Cups Committee are organizing the 2009 U20 National
Tournament for both Men and Women. The tournament will be held on July 18-19,
2009 in Manalapan, NJ. The event will be in the format of a weekend tournament
and is hosted by the New Jersey Soccer Association.More...

Carlos Caszely of Chile was the first player red
carded in a World Cup tournament on June 14, 1974.
Jean Langenus of
Belgium wore a suit jacket, golfing plus fours and a red striped tie when he
refereed the 1930 World Cup final.
Under Herbert Chapman, The Arsenal
changed their name to simply Arsenal in order to appear at the top of the
alphabetical list of old Division One clubs.

Milan Misuta (b. Czechoslovakia, State
Slovakia), Player/Coach, Bavarian SC
He currently resides in Boulder,
CO. Mr. Misuta was born in Slovakia in 1943. His playing career began in 1953
at Slovan Solcany, first with the School Team and later with the Junior team in
1957 and the adult Division 1 team in 1959. In 1962, Milan began his
professional playing career with Dukla Uherske Hradiste in Czechoslovakia. He
also played for Iskra Partizanske and V.T.Z. Chomutov, both in Czechoslovakia.
His last European professional team was Semperit Treiskerchen in Austria in
1973.
In 1974 and 1975 Milan played the Cleveland Stars in the American
Soccer League and also with Slovak A.A. of Chicago. From 1975 to 1982 he played
in Wisconsin with the Milwaukee Bavarians SC, including winning the 1976 USSF
National Amateur Cup, and with the Milwaukee Sport Club and United Serbians. A
career move to Colorado saw him finish his playing career with the Denver
Kickers SC. Milan's talent as a player has been recognized throughout his
career. He was a Regional Junior Select Team players from 1960 to 1962 in
Slovakia. A Regional Adult Select Team player from 1964 to 66 in
Czechoslovakia. A Chicago All-Star Team selection in 1975 and a Wisconsin
All-Star Team selection in 1976.
Milan currently continues to
participate in soccer as a coach in the Boulder, CO area as a club youth coach,
high school coach and Head Coach for both the Men's and Women's teams at the
University of Colorado. |
