Soccer Trivia
Answers |
The 1904 Olympic Games were coordinated with the
Worlds Fair, taking place in St. Louis because all the other cities were
busy that week. Soccer was one of the competitions but was held as a club
event. Invitations went out to the club teams of the world. However, only four
accepted and only three made the trip: Galt Football Club (Ontario, Canada),
Christian Brothers College (St. Louis), and St. Rose Parish School (St. Louis).
They finished in that order with U.S. teams taking silver and bronze.
