The Wisconsin Adult Soccer Association (WASA) needs
college, high school and club soccer coaches to inform their players about the
U23 Men's League, a competitive summer soccer league. We are recruiting men
ages 16 and older to join the Summer U23 league either as teams or individuals.
We have several U18 teams playing up in this league, along with competitive U23
teams like the Croatian Eagles, FC Magic, Polonia, and United Serbians. The
league is organized in multiple divisions to accommodate both skill level and
travel preferences. U23 league games are scheduled on either Wednesday evenings
or Sunday afternoons.
U23 League offers
- Eight weeks of local, competitive soccer in June
and July
- Two day tournament July 12th and 13th
- College players a competitive summer league to
maintain a high level of conditioning
- Developing youth players an opportunity to play-up
with older, more experienced athletes
- Secondary Insurance provided (Primary available if
needed)
- Fully Sanctioned games - officials are insured
2008 Summer U23 League Dates:
May 1st: Team registration and Team Fee deadline
May 8th: Schedule published and Bond deadline May 15th: Minimum 11 Player
Registrations and Fee deadline June 1st: First League Game
U23 Team and Player Registration:
Coaches please encourage one player or parent from
your team to act as the manager or contact person for a summer U23 team. The
WASA will assist the team managers in finding additional players to complete a
team roster. Both teams and individual players should contact the WASA office
for more information about the U23 league. The forms can be found on our
website.
The WASA will send team and player registration
materials to all interested teams. Please respond via email to
jmerz@wisoccer.org, phone 414-545-7227
extension 1# or mail in the team registration form from the WASA Website if you
intend to register a U23 team for the summer season.
Adult and youth player registration forms are
available at the office, via email or on our web site
www.wisoccer.org. Team
registration fees are $150. Individual player registration fees are $33. Youth
players are welcome to participate. Additional required team expenses will
include referee payments, uniforms and field rental fees.
Thank you!

All Men's First Division and Majors games delay to May
4th this year because of the excessive cold and snow amounts. Three weeks ago,
Wauwatosa School District took a few core samples of some fields they have
under re-construction and they found 27 inches of frost. Because a few clubs
have been trying to repair their fields and the additional water from melting
and April rain, the league decided to move the start date back to May
4th.
